Siiiiiick.
I hate off-white in interior house paint.
I love it on '70's cars though, dig it. That'll look great with the grey/black seats.

It needs a black 99 turbo stripe (sans Turbo text).

A couple of pictures using a better camera. The color is the original 'coral white' WH02 single stage.

That is actually a great idea. Some substitute text could be 99 GL or SAAB 99 or just SAAB .. on the humour side maybe 2.0, 4-STROKE, DAIHATSU, 99NOT might be funny.

I was really joking, just for the record. Though I like GUDMUNDSBARNET as text too.
Re: '77 99 GL 5DR
new wheel arch trim, doors hung, new steering wheel, wheel arches/rear sprayed with undercoat, locking gas cap ..
Re: '77 99 GL 5DR
I picked up the wheels from the Seattle Wheel. Took about 2 weeks for them to strip the layers of rattle can and repair the wheels. They sent them out to be powder coated (somewhere in Ballard) and then mounted and balanced the Michelin Primacy 195 tires. The cost was a bit excessive but at this point I don't care.
I saw Mars at a local hardware store just as I was picking them up. His car is on the road and running and he let me peek at the stock Y heater hose that he has. On mine they modified it to route through a brass collar on the inside of the intake bellows and I wanted to just remove that. His tires actually looked better than the tires I removed from mine, so he is probably better off anyway.

Re: '77 99 GL 5DR
I've been really busy at work since October, but was able to make some progress on the car. Glass is all in along with a new windshield lockstrip (saab old new stock), new window channels are in (part AS1369 from Restoration Specialities) and they fit great and provide an excellent seal. I have new window scrapers from Skandix that I need to cut down and fit the old trim piece to. Then there are a couple more pieces to put on it before I can get it on the road but I'm hoping to have it at the Swedish Car show at XXX on February 17th as a work in progress.

In the future just send your wheels directly to the powder coater. They will beat blast them and then just powder coat them... it will be a lot faster and cheaper.
