just camped out in the car i got some bulk roll remenent from menards that cuts very easy with just a sharp razor blade, but goes dull pretty quick so i would have 3-4 handy after fitting i used 3m trim adhesive only about 1 ft sections at a time, trust me things will go bad.. i finished the divider panel last night i'll try to get some finished pics up...i really did want to keep it as one piece of carpet but by the time i worked with all the contours of the floor i had to cut it right under the cross bar for the rear seat pretty easy to hide the seam but i know it's there...again i am no pro either

The early 99s had multiple pieces of carpet that were edge bound. They were attached to the floor via adhesive. That is how my 71 99 came.

I am going to use the old pieces as a template, and cut some new panels. There are a few local upholstery shops that can do the binding.

I'm also using the earlier style edge bound pieces for my car.

found some weatherstrips in good shape and soft ..but the down side..always seems to be a downside..is that when the donor car was painted they left the seals on so there is heavy signs of red paint on them i was able to clean the trunk seal pretty good with some scotchbrite and throttle body cleaner the vent glass seals didn't clean up as well but for now they are way better than what i had...came off of a 1978 notch

You could try paint stripper on the old gaskets. Test to see if it reacts with the rubber.

I had some overspray on my rubber door seals for my 84 notch project, and used Acetone to clean it off. Pro body shop paints are a little stronger than rattle cans, so it may take more effort.

Is that an automotive carpet? Like, fire rated n stuff? Glueing it down makes sense, probably the only way to get it to do what it did. The color scheme (I love it), its called Murdered Out

Paint stripper works great for removing the overspray on the rubber weather stripping. Use that before you go for the scotch brite.

What is the seat you have in there? Is it one of those generic ones off of ebay or is it something snazzy?
