They are not identical but probably close enough that you could make something work. Weird to cut up a 99 to fix a 900 though, usually it's the other way around. What's wrong with the 99? Non rusty 99s are really hard to find these days.

In my experience, you can have a pretty darn shot 99 rust wise and potentially still have pretty good floors. 900's with those "floor rusters" foam pads can be the exact opposite.

I recently bought a set of rocker panels for my W123 Mercedes from this place- http://www.fixmyrust.com/mercedes-benz--440.html
And they were pretty nice bits! They got nothing for 900's though :dunno:

That is exactly my situation. The 900 must have had a plugged sunroof drain, water sat and soaked on the foam... there ya have it. Thanks for the tips!

Very very very common 900 problem. Windshield, hatch or sunroof has a slow leak, it gets the foam pads wet, and once those get wet, they NEVER dry and can easily go un noticed for years. Rust is sure to follow. With the 99, it's just carpet on flat metal. when it gets wet, it can dry and there is significantly less rust potential. Plenty of nice looking 900's I have seen with totally shot floors because of those stupid floor rusting foam rubber pads.
