I helped crew for another EP classed c900 and after cutting any possible weight out of the car, we were under the weight limit and had to add back weight. Something like 70lbs of lead we melted down into discs that helped the corner weights balance. The minimum weight rule makes a c900 underpowered in this class. Let me know if you go the petition route. I can get another c900 driver to chime in.

Technically you can't add weight where you want. It has to be something stock in a stock location. But there are a lot if things "technically" illegal that don't really get protested so I'm told. As they shouldnt at this level.

Really? I was always under the impression the stock 900T's weighed more like 3,100-3,200? That's awesome.

My limited experience says tech inspection is mostly about safety equipment and weight. Protesting a competitor actually cost $$$ so it doesn't happen unless a season championship is on the line or something. I don't reasonably expect to win in a C900, my expectations are set for having more fun per dollar spent than anyone else out there

A quick update....but we had the car dyno'd and after a couple pulls, it managed 120whp.
The motor is a completely stock 2.0L N/A junkyard motor (with a sticky lifter) with a header/exhaust and Trionic 5. Not too shabby!

Did you do any steady state mapping while on the dyno, or just some WOT?
What did you use for a CPS setup?
120 is very respectable. I was thinking 100 Whp would be good for a n/a.

They were WOT pulls on not ideal gas. I have the graph at the shop I'll take a photo of.
The car uses one of your kits!
My 99 jumped on for the last pull and managed 105whp/105ft/lbs. Stock bottom end, cam/header/webers. It was a nice curve, but there is more hp to be found for sure...but right now I'm just going to focus on getting some more seat time.

I think that could be a bit higher with a 2.1 NA motor. Especially with modern engine management. My NA 8V motor with a junkyard 2.1 bottom end, MSS race header, and an old used rally head with dual springs, oiling mods, and cam pulls 110 at the wheels with stock CIS. I'm hoping to get a bit of an increase when I finally get the CIS dumped in favor of a pair of Webers.

Not really. We have the stuff for to upgrade the suspension setup. It is going to do the Ascutney hill climb in August before it has to put on some weight to run the pro IT series.

Nothing new to report. New engine is in the works, probably switching over to a flywheel triggered T5 setup. Fancy-pants Penske shocks and adjustable roundy-round suspension is acquired. The car is also going to be repainted maybe this summer.
