How in the hell did you find that??? I didn't think there were any Copper Coral cars left. One of my favorite 99 colors, and super rare at that since it only came on the 73EMS. Damnit! I'm jealous :bawl:

BTW, Nice find

Looks like a good one Sam. I hope it proves to be a cleaner shell than your last one.

Looks like you could detail it, tune it up and drive it to work without alot of effort.

Nice score!

That is really cool! As Ed noted, that's a 1 year color for the first EMS's. Very rare and very very cool! I think you made the right choice, and if you hadn't picked it up, it was very likely never going to run again. Nice work.

I believe it was on Craigslist a few weeks ago, looked like it had been sitting out behind someone's trailer for quite a while, looks like you made out pretty good!

Nice find! I like that color but most of the Copper Coral cars I've seen are SSE models with that funky walnut vinyl roof cover.

WoW! I can't say I've ever seen that color in the wild. Good find!

Well there appears to be another one of these for sale as well. http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/showt ... p?t=228800

From the source in the saabsunited archive, it looks like the color was available in 72 and 73.

My one still has stickers on from the navy base it was on. I just pulled the wheels off tonight to get them mounted on my prius tires. It still has the stock suspension in the front. It is so weird to wipe the dirt away from the tubes and find perfectly intact paint underneath. It has got red ryder shocks in the back. The axles, ball joints, and tie rods are all in questionable condition. The axle boots are ripped and will need repacking.

I found color matched EMS mirrors in the trunk. Lots of work but I think I can get it running soon. The brake lines are in good shape, but the gas tank did not pass the sniff test. I'm going to start putting marvel mystery oil in this engine and see if we can get it started.

Nice, looks just like my 73 EMS, only less rusty overall I think. Mine has those red ryders too, they actually work pretty decently. Can't see shit out of those mirrors, but damn do they look cool

Here are some more photos. I put on the prius tires and swapped in my other interior. It's looking great. The next step is to see if I can get the engine to run. The fuel pump and starter both seem to be frozen, so that is the next thing.
