Looks good with the brown interior.

What on earth are you using to take photos with that give everything that sort of muted, off white balance that make it look period correct?

Those photos are shamefully from an iphone 4 and processed with an app called Photo Effect Studio Pro. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/photo-e ... 8444?mt=12

I do have an old slr camera but I never bother bringing it out to the shop.

Sam, do you need any matching bits for that interior?
I've got a full set of carpets, rear panels, door panels (not in great shape), seats etc. that I'll be getting rid of. Free for the taking.

I actually have a good set in that color but I want to use the dark brown mahogany panels that were original. I only need the driver side door panel if anyone has one. If someone needs light brown stuff let me know. I want to clean house.

I don't have any of the soft door panels in the color you're looking for but you might be able to get the nicer foam door panels and paint them to match.

Jordan, I'll save you carpets for you. They're not great but they'd probably clean up and maybe dye well. I have some other EMS seats I'll need to go through but I may have something that you can use.

That one is from the dealer sales book. I found one on ebay with my exact car on the cover. Its funny, it has the exact same photos as earlier on in this thread with the same models (humans) but with the american sealed lamps swapped in.

Here's a massive raw scan file for anyone who wants it.

Made a bit more progress today. I cleaned up the stainless door sills that I got from Jon. Also nibbled the end a bit with a grinder and file to remove a very small crack I made while trying to get the rusty frozen screws out of the door sills on that 71. With some hand cleaner and a sponge and they look great.

Also finally put together the floor mat template for cocomats.

This is the pattern I am having them made in. Should match the copper color quite nicely.

I'm still trying to decide what to do with the old style headliner we removed. Now that it has sat folded up for a few weeks, its' cracking and flaking away. The material is really inexpensive, and I am considering changing it to a black color as I think white might look strange with my interior.

The sewing would be a big project as its really complicated. Not sure the best place to go to get something like this made. My skill level with a sewing machine is pretty non existent.

The hardest part about using a sewing machine is threading it. After that it's pretty cake, unless you're trying to stitch something that's too thick for your machine to handle, otherwise it's pretty point and shoot. Lots of good tutorials online for that stuff.

Dark colored headliners seem to make the interior feel small and oppressive to me, but some people do like it. I usually stick with light colors.

I had a dark green headliner in my tan 86. I had repainted an interior hunter green and put it in the car. I thought it looked really good on a Dolomite Sand car. But I agree that the dark headliner makes it feel a bit more clausterphobic.

When the adhesive failed, I just used an off white headliner material, and repainted the green stuff black.

Finally got back to the shop yesterday. The door sills look great, and hold the carpets down on the sides. I ended up combining parts from the two mirrors Jon gave me to get one to fit. There appear to be at least 3 different styles. I went with the metal one that I think came from the 71. I also test fitted the headliner, which unfortunately tore as I extended the springs inside. This car seems to have the clips for the old style headliners in the rear but they are missing from the front. It seems easy enough to add a clip or screw to hold it in the front, so I will do my best to get it to retrofit.

I also changed the starter, redid the battery cables etc so it turns over with the key now. The engine turns over really easily. The fuel pump in the car does not work, nor does the other d-jet pump from the other car. I will most likely have to get one of them rebuilt as they are hard to find. Anyone try running a d-jet pump from either a porsche or triumph?

Any CIS pump or fuel injection pump should work just fine.
