Thanks for the offer but i've got two tanks and the original is in great condition. Found what appeared to be motor oil in the bottom of it which worked to my advantage.

Finally returning to this project after a long hiatus. This is my only saab now so it will be getting my full attention!
When I left off, i was still dealing with getting it to run right. The engine would start but run rough and backfire.

Has anyone tried running T5Suite on an 8v bee engine? I still have all the ecu tuning gear from the 9-5 but i'm unsure if the timing is the same, or if it will just be going down the rathole trying to get t5suite to run on an engine its not intended for. I know that the DI cass is going to an oddball fitment on this engine because of the sideways spark plugs, but i've seen it done on the 8V H engine. For some reason i thought the H and bee Engine had the same timing but the info on that seems pretty scarce. Anyone know?

It would work the same as the H motor 8v. I was thinking of installing it on my '71 to use solely for ignition timing control. You would definitely want to use a flywheel trigger, but the B-block doesn't use the same mounting plate, so a custom sensor mount would have to be figured out. Not that tricky though.

It has been dormant since 2013 (life and career got in the way) such that I have not touched it in 4 years. A lot has happened since then and this is now my only saab. Its been sitting in a friend's garage all this time. However I am now in the process of buying a home and plan to start on it again soon. Its still all in one piece with that newer interior installed.
