Hey, I have one of those leftover from my Dad's '82 Turbo. One got broken and he pulled the other off and replaced them with a set of Bosch ones. I never looked closely to see what lens is in it, but I'll try to remember to take a look for you.

:) Thanks for the offer, but I don't want to part with it. It's one of the only things left from that actual car, and that car is the reason I am into Saabs in such a big way now. We have one of the ignition keys floating around from it somewhere too. That, and photos are all that's left.

Those flip up covers are really cool!

They are metal too, and have little tabs that you can tighten the screws against to hold them open or closed. I always thought it was cool.

Great picture!! Looks like it was such a sweet 900. You should mount that one remaining fog on your mantle or something. I keep a license plate from each one. They line the walls of my man cave.

Looks like those fogs were made by Ushio. Found them in the '82 accessories catalog. Looks like they made the covers in plastic or metal. The plastic ones would often melt. Pretty sure mine are metal. Sweetest looking fogs I've found yet!

Finally nice enough weather to drive. Started driving the '80 to work and she was developing a shake. Ended up that two of the three motor mounts were way loose! Replaced both and while I was in there added the rally skid plate (thanks ProtoSaab!). Ended up brazing a set of stainless nuts to the strap to create the mounting bar. Very secure feeling having one of these underneath.

Sorting through my camera and found these from last fall. She sat a while under a pine while we were traveling. Still finding pine needles everywhere.

More pics! Was hoping to get more work done on it this summer, but just having way too much fund driving it as-is! I did happen upon an old ski rack though and refurbed it. Apparently this gal had it on her '83 900t until she scrapped the car some 15 years ago. She would have thrown the rack away, but I got to her in time.

Do you know the offset and width of those wheels? It might be cast into it. I was looking at some Enkei 92's that look like that.

IIRC those are the same wheels that I have, they don't spec the offset on mine, but they are 6.5" wide, probably should try to get a measurement of the offset at some point because they really do fit the car nicely.

These don't have any markings on the inside, but from comparing them to other rims online, they seem to be original 15x6.5" Epsilons. The pic below was from a nearly identical set. The stamp on the inside looks like it says 15 or 16 OFF.

They probably aren't a 15 offset, that would likely poke out quite a lot more, I would think it's more like 25-30. Mine have all those same casting marks, but rather than having numbers stamped for the width and offset they're just blank. I'm guessing there was a custom order at some point where they made a batch of these to the right specs for the early 900's, but it still seems odd they wouldn't have stamped the specs on them.

Actually, that's what i was told when I bought them. The seller said they were a custom order from a single dealer in CA in 1986. When he was selling 900 turbos alongside Porsche 911s.

These are what I was looking at. Definitely a deeper dish and they are 15x7 I think you can get 25 or 38 offset. 38 might fit.. maybe with a small spacer.



They are something I can get through work and would be fairly inexpensive.
