Did you use the TIG or MIG for that roof repair? What did you do to battle warpage?

I'm really glad you guys are getting this fixed pronto.

Are you taking the time to tab the cage to the windshield and door 'frame' up top? might be a good time to reinforce that area. Even less to fix on the next roll!

and how about some damn updated pics luke? Geez you'd think this guy just worked at his job, then on some project, then slept all the time.

The car is coming back together pretty well. I wasn't at Luke's this weekend at all, but something tells me he spent a few hours reconstructing his masterpiece.

Unfortunately for the cars sake, next weekends holiday will surely lead to some idle garage time. I am going to try to go to Luke's at least once this week and maybe get a few hours of repairs in.

We have just under 5 weeks to get the car done. While we are very optimistic, there are still a lot of things that need to be, including the initial check-up on the car that should have been done prior to STPR.

Bigger, more painful things to be done include the obvious bodywork, making a hood (or two), repairing the pan-hard rod mount, and making a new intercooler/radiator/oil cooler. We also have to figure out why the clutch failed and remedy that situation as well.

We are all hoping to get down to West Virginia, but perhaps the next event for us will take place in New York.

Please contact Luke about lending some spare hands as it will greatly aid our chances of competing in WV or even in NY.

The car has been coming together rather nicely....

The roof repairs are essentially done, just need some priming/sanding.

The front left fender is almost willing to fit on the car after some sledge action to the inner fender well.

I still need a front right fender though, somebody must have thought to sawzall one off!?

I'm sure moonracer over on TSL has several to choose from he would sell you for a very cheap price being that this is for your race car... He owns his own saab only junk yard He's in Iowa though, so it would have to be shipped but I'm sure he'd be willing.
