Oh, it was at the Bilsport Custom & Performance Motorshow together with the Saab Turbo Club of Sweden. A really nice weekend, lots of people and lots of quality builds.

Where you there in person?

The car is finally street legal in Sweden 1080kg curb weight with 30l fuel. 55% front and 45% on the rear wheels, somewhat heavier than before, but still ok. Furthermore its converted to T7 bcv, so I finally got the boost back.

Its now rolling on 16" wheels with unfortunately too large tires.

Been at the Saab festival all weekend, met lots of nice people and the response on the car was great! We could have had somewhat better weather though. Took a couple of laps on a rainy Kinnekulle Ring and it felt alright, still holds together.

Yes, I only have the 99 and a 9-3 as a daily driver. Hard to find more parking space right now :-)

He runs my previous setup though, td04-16t and T5.5 through a 3-speed auto. Faster than the 99... Need a larger turbo asap, running a te05-12b right now.

Thought your brothers car was neat! Not many 3 speed autos over there... Most here died a while ago. My 1992 2.1 liter T5.5 /w TEO5 turbo really gets going alarmingly quick. Between the high compression of the 2.1, the TE05 and the T5 timing control it eliminates that moment most automatic classic 900's have when you 1st take off and wonder "is this thing ever going to start pulling......... Oh, wait, wait, there it goes" It just rips as soon as you step on the gas.

mine generally gets traction in 1st unless you brake torque in the slightest bit, and the 1-2 shift chirps the tires as it shifts. Transformed the car from a dog into a really fun car to drive. Only downside is the highway revs and the top speed of 125. Most cars can still out run it if they want to "take it up to maximum speed"

I think keeping these transmissions alive has a lot to do with heat. I have a motorhome automatic transmission cooler mounted right in front of the AC condenser of mine. I am waiting for that day that there is a pile of B&W type 37 parts shattered all over the ground, but so far so good.
