Awesome! Love the intercooler, 9k aero seats, twin-tip tail, decor panel. I actually thought the red bumper trim and faux 3-spoke directionals were really cool little details too. Like the new rims more though. Thing must go like stink!

Thanks for the kind words guys. It is pretty quick for still having the stock turbo mostly in part to T5 which was a huge improvement.

The car no longer has the 9k aero seats. I put a set of Corbeau A4s in there a few years ago and never looked back.

Here is an updated engine bay shot.


The car still needs quite a bit of work. High on the list is getting a coolant reservoir fabricated and relocated. I could make one with my mig but it wouldn't look as nice as a tigged unit.

Wheels are NOS Riken STX wheels. They used to be on my Commemorative Edition vert a few years ago.




I have a new set of wheels that will be going on when the Airflow kit is done.

Awesome project! Those painted stock directional wheels look really good. I'm gonna give that a try on a spare set just for kicks. What fuel rail, injectors, FPR are you using? Cheers!

You can keep your OEM coolant tank, but you will have to modify the jack screw by cutting down the length and grinding a new ball end and shorten the head height.

A sheet metal fabbed one would be kinda cool, but a lot of work to make and potential leaker...

What is the source, and or part number of the upper rad hose to eliminate the AC switch?

I could use that on my car.

I thought he used to have pictures in that thread but maybe not, for $10 it may be worth a shot if you don't have anything else to order from the UK. It does look part of it is roughly the same dimensions as the OEM one but probably not 100% perfect.

Quick question for those no longer running a charcoal canister. I plugged the nipple on the fuel filler neck for the line that goes through the roof and removed the charcoal canister.

Now there is a lot of pressure building up in the gas tank. Did I plug the wrong nipple or is my gas cap bad?

Your gas cap is working too well. There is a diaphragm valve on the cap that must be defeated for the tank to breath out. Not the best for the enviro. I was actually thinking of putting mine back. I have lingering gas fume smell after the car sits over night. I need to wire the canister valve back into the ecu or run it of the ignition switched power.
