I've discovered some interesting differences in the OBDII 1996.5 + NG900 harnesses. Not all of the necessary T5 wires run through the H33-4 plug (black).

Summary:
Going over a new junkyard harness tonight, I discovered that the TPS power(+5v power from ECU) and ground run through the H33-5 plug(gray). This pin needs to be removed and a new wire made in its place bypassing the H33-5 grey plug.

Detail:
Looking at the wiring diagrams, you can see that pin 12 on the H33-5 (pin 42 on the ECU) can be removed and spliced together. This +5v power is also used for the Evap pressure sensor on the gas tank (not needed on a c900).

Pin 10 must also be removed from the H33-5 connector and grounded to pin 67 on the ECU.

Finally, pin 57 from the 70 pin ECU connector can be eliminated from the harness. This is used by the T5 Automatic Transmission ECM for reference engine coolant temperature and Throttle Position.

Update time. Finally finished my harness build, quite the process from scratch. Now to do the rest of the car!

It is a lot of work.
Some suggestions:
Looking at you AMP junior timers, you should add a boot for sealing and strain relief.
At the big ECU connector, wrap self vulcanizing silicone tape around the bundle and zip tie the works to the connector's "neck". Strain relief to reduce the chance of pin push/pull out.
Keep up the effort as it will pay off in the end.

Good tips, the picture doesn't include some strain relief I did before finishing on the main ecu connector. The boots are a good idea too, but I am hoping the heatshrink will do that job.

The heat shrink will work if pulls down to the wire pair of expando braid diameter. Also I had the braid melt as I tried to shrink with too much heat. You can add a short section in smaller dia to add bulk and shink over it.
You can get replacement boot here. 4$ each. The have different sizes to match the amount of poles.

Interesting... the boots sure would look nice too. Should be a good finishing functional and cosmetic touch.

The braid does melt if you apply too much heat. Also I melted the braid ends with a lighter after cutting to size in order to keep the braid from unraveling.

The other trick to the braid is folding the braid in on it self to create a nice flute and finished edge.
My welding cart project you can spy the torch end braiding.

Got the trunk from the parts car installed. This one came off an N/A car with no spoiler.

Mocked up and got the holes drilled for the rally spoiler.

Awesome. A unique part making a bold statement.
You are not going to make a mold of it and produce reproductions? Missed opportunity to make millions of dollars.

At this point probably won't be making a mold. Focus needs to be on getting the car running and driving.

I may in the future consider making a mold/repros when time allows.

I also have one of those spoilers, love them, they were used on the SAAB rally support vehicles. The one I have has never been mounted with the part number sticker still on the inside. They are pretty flimsy, so I was also thinking about making a mold to make spares.

Would be a good part to make with Compression molding. Of course we would have to sell them for a pretty big chunk of change to pay for the tooling.
