94 9K "Project Green Aero"
I have never owned a 9000, but always had a slight crush on them. I always said that If I ever was going to own one it would be either Green or White.
So Jeff (Delorean) posted the 94 Aero for sale a while back. I drove up to the compound to check out the car, and ended up striking a deal for it.
Its a 94 9K Aero with 151k on it. Has some potentially major mechanical issues to sort, but its in very good condition otherwise. While there are a few panels that will need a respray, the majority of the car would buff out rather nicely. The interior is probably an 8+ out of 10. Motor is toast, and the automatic needs to go.
I am going to find another Aero to yank some parts from, build another long block, and source the parts to add a third pedal, and associated stick shift stuff. I am just planning to get it running the way it was intended, and get it back on the road before I try to improve the cosmetics or performance.
Future plans call for some paint touch up, and general cherrying out. I may throw some hop up stuff on it and do a tune, but I will (TRY) not to get too carried away with it.
I have decided to call it " Project Green Aero"

Away! we know that tears are vain
That Death nor heeds nor hears distress:
Will this unteach us to complain?
Or make one mourner weep the less?
And thou who tell'st me to forget
Thy looks are wan thine eyes are wet.
Green 94 9000 Aero. RIP.

I cannot find the color code tags on the car, but I believe this is Eucalyptus Green?
My buddy has a Scarabe Green CV that is a bit darker than this.

Looks like it (?) Mine is darker, Scarab green I think. I never really paid much attention to the color names.

The color and trim codes are on the tire sticker in the drivers side rear door jamb.
Mine is 235 = Eucalyptus Green
Scarabe Green is 230

Re: 94 9K "Project Green Aero"
Scored a 95 9000 CSE with a good motor and gearbox.
Hoping to use the parts from this to have the 94 Aero back on the road for the spring time. Planning to part the CSE over Christmas break.
I will be pulling all the pieces I need to do the engine, stick swap, as well as saving some spares for my car. But I will be selling off some of the bits I don't need.
15x6 directional 3 spokes with half decent tires. 150.00
Trailer hitch... 50.00
Most of the body panels, fenders, doors etc. are in good shape
Seats, door panels, and carpets are decent.
Glass all seems to be good.
I would hate to watch this stuff go to the junkyard... so if there is something anyone needs, speak now or forever hold your peace.
I'm not looking to get a ton of money for the stuff... and I'll do even better on the prices if you come here and remove your own parts.

I might need the stock downpipe if you'd spare it and it's not all rusted out, I need to see where my Dad's is leaking from, but I'd bet it's the flex joint.

Re: 94 9K "Project Green Aero"
Nice! I snagged a 9000 CSE (also green like Geoff's) for a winter beater. Stage 1 tune and came with aero wheels and springs! Love these beasts!
I think my wife's dark blue aero is having TCS issues - got any Non-TCS bits for sale or trade?

Re: 94 9K "Project Green Aero"
Both cars are non TCS. I only need 1, so YES... the non TCS pieces will be available. Just let me know what specific pieces you will need, as I am a bit green to these cars.
Drew... the downpipe on the parts car appears to be scabbed together. But the one on the primary car looks like it's pretty decent. I plan to upgrade the exhaust, so I may have a good one for you afterall... Let me get a closer look at it as I pull it apart.

Re: 94 9K "Project Green Aero"
With no less than 5 T5 projects... I am keeping that stuff.
I'm also keeping the dash, stick shift parts, the engine, and trans. The rear decor panel is nicer than mine, and I'm gonna save all the lights. Keeping the steering wheel as well, and possibly the cabin fan.
My buddy has picked a few pieces off the car already too. ACC control, turn signal stalk, and the fog lights.
