Finally I got my quickener ! my friend was in the states a couple of weeks ago and now it´s in my garage :yay:
I also decided to by the LSD from Jörgen, I just have to make some time to pick it up.
I stumbled over a 2.1 head with inlet manifold and I could not resist to buy it, it´s bigger ports in that one.
I have found a set of 15" rims 5 spoke from ford racing division and according to the guy who wants to sell them (cheep) they are 5kg lighter each then his rims that he are using now in (autoX)?

Is AutoX when you drive a rallycar on a track that is half tarmac half dirt sort of ?

About switching the bushings in the front end I believe the good thing that happens is that you get a little better grip when you pull away. The bad thing is that it dives more when you brake.
You prevent that with progressive springs, rear ones from ford mondeo should fit did I read some where.

There are two kinds of Rally Cross....there is the American Rally Cross and the European Rally Cross. In America rally cross is done at slow speeds often in reasonably stock cars. The surface is dirt, gravel, sand, grass, or snow & ice and the course is made up of cones. You drive a technical course as fast as possible without hitting any cones (autocross on dirt basically).

European rally cross is usually 3 or 4 rally cars racing wheel to wheel on a short sprint type of track which is usually some combination of pavement and dirt.

Which kind has the hot chicks in short shorts and tight t-shirts hanging around?

I just want to make sure I end up in the right place.

That would be a F1 girl. A huge difference in the fan and team cash than any rally/auto cross....

We just got back from the track and the bushing change worked good. There was a lot more torque steer that could have also been the 2.1 intakes and ecu upgrades. We had made a lot of other changes and were having problem it the middle of the turns. Going to try to find a way to stop the rear axle from bending under the cornering load.
Also had chips in the ecus for 7700 rpm and 8000rpm. These did there job but now it is time to invest some money in camshafts.
All went well we finished 4 and 5 both days.

Hi !
Now I´m back in the garage again. I have had some family issues to take care of :(
I Have not done anything to my car so far this year , I crashed the gearbox this fall and the car is still without engine and gearbox.

Nice to hear that it worked well with the bushings(saabhelp).

Where are all the old pictures in the forum ? It´s only x´s ?

This week I´m going to work on my car as much as possible and I´m going try to put some pictures up .
And if any one want´s to know I just built a sand-pit for my daughter :) it´s 2x3m and I bought 3000 kg sand, sand is cheap.

I hope everyone have had a good time so far this year !
Cheers Richard

Here is some pictures of my gearbox that broke down. The spring for the 3rd gear synchro has snapped of and got in between the 4th gear and done some small adjustments there :)

But I´m quite happy because I have my new LSD !

It looks like that spring did some very "fine" adjustments. That should be easy to fix!

Jorgen's Diff = :rock on:
The kind of dirty that doesn't wash off :eyebrows:

Yes It´s the support it´s hanging on . It should be painted sometime but I like to
try how things work first when I build something, that saves alot of time I have noticed :)
It´s allmost a copy of Saab´s original one .

At last I ´have been able to testdrive my LSD :yay: it´s excellent !!!
I almost ended up in the ditch because I thought the car should drift a little bit as I am used to. What a grip ! I just have to get used to it .
I have also changed the front shock absorbers and all (4) springs so now the car handles like shit, I think that I will be forced to do a proper wheel alignment.
The next trackday is the 13th of September and I will hopefully be there, I have not been on a track in the hole year so this should be fun !
And remember there is always time to take a bath in the garage ;)
