I'd be happy to pick them up and pass them along to Seth when he gets into hartford , or the next time I see him. Is this something you guys want to get into now? I have from tomorrow until the 2nd off work so my time is flexible.

If we are serious about this ( I am ) I think we should get the ball rolling soon. Between the group of us here I think we have enough experience and contacts to make this happen.

It's not hard to imagine Luke giggling over anything.

John-John. Why is it that I remember this set being less than complete or worn, or needing the ring and pinion or something?

I <think> I know where some mech drawings of my lsd may be...have to inquire about that.

Having driving Johns car, the real shit is the combination of the the gearset, ring/pinion, LSD. IMHO the R/P and LSD being the most important. Although, I did feel like a bad-ass staging at the start and KLUNKING the car into first gear...made me feel like a sooper stah.

John, I might be in CT this weekend. If you are around it would be cool to meet up. Also, Jordan offered to handoff of the S&R gearset to Seth when he flys into hartford if you can't.

The other thing we need to think about is engagement of the gears. Not sure if dog rings from another application can be pulled into service or modified. We'll have to look into that too.

ok, gear sets. i talked to the guys at work today and we use a company here in pa. i'll get the name when they get back from lunch. without talking with them, the guess in the shop is that the cost for a custom gearset would be $2500+ to have it made and I don't think that would include heat treating. what does a set of gears cost now?

ok, if you want the address luke i can give it to you. i looked the price up on speedparts, 38570 kr = $5500, yikes. i should think making our own would be way cheaper.

barry knows his stuff, we have all our custum gears cut by him for the shop. he should be able to tell us if there are any ways to improve on the S&R gearset.

Groo is MIA ... if you need a place to stay I have an air mattress that Luke can attest to. I'm about 25 mins or less from Hartford. I may not be there on the 11th since it is my birthday but the 9th and 10th I probably will be, and over the weekend possibly.

I will be down there for the day and return to vermont that night. Thanks for the offer though. Shouldn't need a place to sleep unless I have some sort of car trouble.
