Ok there was a post over on saabcentral and it appears that there is plently of interest for another run. Typical lead time for the CNC shop is about a month. I'll let everyone know as soon as they are ready.

How many are you going to do? Will there be any extra?
Okay, so I'm female and like SAAB's go figure. Mind you, I like a good set of strappy sandal's just about as much though they don't take you thru the corners as fast. LOL

We are tweaking the cover to make it even stronger and a exit port for a cooler (or for a drain) will be added.

i am wondering if ports/drain can be added per order? i know that some are running a cooler off of just the differential, out of the diff at the bottom and back in through the top. i am considering using the tap that is on the side of the primary drive near the front of the casing, running the oil out the diff. cover, to cooler, than in the front.

oh, i am the same Xassh from SC that definitely wants one (first post here)

The covers will come with 1 lower drain port as standard. Most people prefer to plumb the return into the side cover but if someone wants a return on the rear cover as well that could be added for a small fee.

Where on the case were you thinking of putting the return?

Thinking here...for the fluid coming out of the trans, pick a low spot...if there was a port in towards the bottom of the "bump" on the rear cover, a 90deg fitting could be used to insure the coolant line runs up out of harms way. So, now where would you plumb in the return? The side cover maybe...I have an alum one with the little shorty dipstick, so it will need a boss tigged to it. Is there a spot on the case that could simply be drilled and tapped?

i was thinking on the side of the case, up near the front of the transmission, the '86 trans i have in there currently has a sensor of sorts mounted in that location... though, of course, the sensor is not plugged in now, nor could i find a wire for it to plug into when it was on its way out of the donor car.

hmmm, i cant find a pic anywhere on my comp of a transmission with the aforementioned cover installed... i do have one uploaded all ready with the cover removed...

it would make sense to me to have the oil exiting the transmission at a low point and entering high, as i recall the port on this side cover is up near the top of the cover. it would also make sense to me to have the oil exiting one end of the transmission and reentering from the far end, allowing for more even cooling across the entire transmission rather than focusing on the rear end.
