Wheel Scrapers

Postby Rallyho » Fri Mar 02, 2007 4:34 pm

I have a set and will try to take a pic this weekend. Mine are steel, and set to not actually touch the wheel. But, they did keep the dirt/rock/sand/mud slurry from eating through my rear calipers.

Lost my brakes twice that way.

how about a spring loaded set so as they wear they still keep in contact with the wheel? The spring and slider mechanism would of course get full of dirt and jam...

When I worked for Vermont Sportscar they used a low density polyurethane pieces for wheel scrapers and they pretty much scraped on the wheel..or if they didnt the were quite close to doing so. But being that they were plastic they wore down. The worked well though.
