What gauge sheet metal did everyone you use for gussets and such? I've got 14ga and the punch/flare tools I see out there are limited to 16ga.
Is that a real limit or will they work?
The tools I'm looking at are Mittler Brothers.

You might be able to get a dimple on 14 gauge but the tolerances in the dies are pretty tight, and I think you might have to use a press instead of the bolt to squeeze the two halves together. Get the ones that just do the flaring and use a hole saw, instead of the punch/flare in one operation ones, its cheaper that way too. Also, I picked up a couple nice used greenlee punches on ebay for about 1/6 of the cost of new ones, just make sure you get actual diameter not conduit diameter. I think the standard for most gussets and tabs that are dimpled is 16g. I used 14 gauges for the taco wrap gussets but I didnt dimple them.
