Glad I saw this... I'm out, sorry, no kit for me.

Pretty much keeping my 85 clean clean clean, despite all the urging to slap the SPG plastics down the side of it. It's coming to look more unique these days as just a lowly turbo.

Correct for me! The '80 is in the shop right now getting prepped and painted. Should be posting pics on Saturday when she comes back home.

Well it's about F'n time!!!!!!!!!

Finally got off my ass and produced the stripe kits.

All the pre orders are boxed and almost ready to ship. I will drop them at the post office when I catch my breath after Calisle.

For those of you that did not get in on the original group purchase, I can still supply the kits.

The price for black or white is 120.00 each
Custom colors are gonna be 175.00 each

You can probably expect a few weeks for delivery.

Matt,

There should be enough blank stripe in the kit to do a car without the graphic.

The extra will also be useful if a self installer happens to bodge a section.

I just want to warn everyone, that installing these are not for the faint of heart. If you have never put actual vinyl graphic on something, you may want to consult a professional installer. If you mess it up trying to install it....

I plan to post a tutorial of sorts on here.

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

In terms of installation, do these come pre-cut out? Or do we handle the cutting?

Yep, I believe it's a DIY kit - just a long strip of solid white vinyl, a picture of what the finished stripes should look like and an exacto knife.

Yep... I even throw in a pencil and a couple sheets of tracing paper. I mean... it is DIY afterall.

Well, I guess it's better than tracing it out and then carving the paint down to the primer instead.

I plan to post a bit of a tutorial, and I can also link you to some you tube DIY vids.

There should be enough stripe, that if you lay it out carefully, you can actually install it without the "SAAB TURBO" text.

There are plenty of DIY vids on You Tube that will give you the low down on putting them on the car.

If you are the slightest bit leary of installing it yourself, I would suggest getting a local sign shop to put them on the car. It does require some cutting of the vinyl once it is on the car, and it is entirely possible to cut through the paint if you are not careful.

Large scale vinyl stripes are not for the faint of heart. I am primarily a printer, but have been dabbling in vinyl for about 30 years, and I am still a little fearful of big jobs.

RF,... I threw a few tee shirts in the box for you. Hopefully a little free schwag is fair compensation for making everyone wait.

BTW....
I still have a few of these kits left in Black and White. Price is 120.00 each + shipping

Custom colors are available for 175.00 + shipping, but require a 2-3 week lead time.

Thanks for the t-shirts Jason! I love the white one with the 99! I'll be figuring out the stripe situation this weekend. I can't imagine installing just the stripes without the logos - it would have to be the whole thing or save them for another project.
