Price from my graphics dude was a bit steep... he quoted me $250, but that would include laying out all the artwork and installation. That would be for a die-cut style stripe kit like the factory ones were.
At this point, I'll be holding off until spring. The car is getting parked in the next month or so for the winter and I really should be spending my money to get the Aero fixed up and in tip top shape for the winter (including some new winter sneakers!)

Which set are you looking for?
There is still time to get on board with the group purchase. That is if in fact you are after the 99 turbo stripes.

I'm all for DIY, but why duplicate efforts when Jason already had all the setup and legwork done to reproduce these at a fair price?
But to clarify, Jason, are yours basically a scanned replica of a turbo stripe or an approximation?

Re: Reproducing 99 Turbo Stripe Kit
I am curious about this too.
Re: Reproducing 99 Turbo Stripe Kit
I am looking for a set of the 99 turbo stripes but to fit on a c900 in Black.
Do you have them made already or still in the works? What is the time frame looking like? Are yours a die-cut style or are do they have a clear overlay or what? Just curious... the nice thing about my guy is that he will install them and if I have an issue I can always go back and get them fixed or touched up or whatever.
My guy is also willing to work with me on payment and he can have them ready within a few days and I could pay him later, so... kind of tempting.

They are cut from a sheet of cast vinyl just like the originals.
they will be long enough to fit on any 99-900. In order to make them universal, they need to be trimmed after installation.
I am working on the pattern now. I did a test cut, and was not happy with the result so I am redoing the art to make improvements.

Re: Reproducing 99 Turbo Stripe Kit
Just an update.
I continue to chip away at the digitizing on the stripes. I'm getting closer, but not finished yet.
Back to school / fall rush is in full swing here and I have to put priority on that stuff.
I was dead slow all summer long, and had the orders all fallen into place at that time, It would have been done much quicker.

Re: Reproducing 99 Turbo Stripe Kit
Yep,
I have been procrastinating on this too long. I owe you guys a little more than that. Over Xmas break I managed to get some progress on the art. It's about 75% there.
I really apologize that I have put this off for so long. I have been in a "why do today what I can put off til tomorrow" mode for a while now. I need to get on the ball and fulfill the orders you all paid for.
If anyone is really sick of waiting, I can refund your payment. But I give my word that everyone will get either a set of stripes, or their cash back.

I may be interested in a set. Was there a finial decision on price and what they would look like?

The final price was 90.00 for black or white.
125 for metallic silver or gold
Considering my procrastination, you may want to hang on to your cash for now so I don't piss anyone else off. I already feel bad for the sake of the numerous people who prepaid me.

I know you're good for it. I've been procrastinating figuring out why the gearbox in the car they're going on sticks going in and out of 5th for like.... 6 months now. Finally ordered gaskets and power steering hoses to start working on it today. Life happens.

I feel bad enough that everyone that preordered is going to get a few freebies in the box with the graphics. Tee shirts, maybe a few stickers and such.
