It might be a good time for anybody with an existing unit to get some replacement clutch packs. Mine hasn't gotten much use yet, and my case is a little fubar'd and its not working properly, but I have to tear it down and see what the problem is.

I might need a new outer housing, depending on the cost.. I have to teardown the unit to see what the problem is still. I know I should do it quick, just been busy at the shop. Just make a post before you finalize the order please!

I'll make sure to let everyone know before ordering anything. I'll also look into cost on getting replacement clutch packs as well, if anyone else needs those let me know. Depending on cost I might get a set myself to keep on the shelf.

Thanks!

Jennifer got some extra clutch packs before I thought, the info might be in the old thread, but maybe the price has changed.

Pascal, please go for a quote on replacement clutch packs... I might go for a set if they are reasonable.

"Hello Pascal, clutch plates are £4.50 each and Belleville washers are £7.50 each.

The info re the spot facing makes sense. I await your instructions. Regards Tom"

Seems reasonable to me.

Since there wasn't enough interested people for these at this point it looks like there won't be an order now. I'm thinking I'll save up again over the summer and try again in the fall. So for anyone who needs replacement parts for existing units, make a list, hopefully there will be a box headed this way later in the year. Anyone who wanted one but the timing wasn't good, I'm thinking we try and order in late october or november, start planning now!

Maybe by the fall a few more people will have their ducks lined up, (like me).

Hello Guys

Have you got enough orders in for the Gripper diff's ??
I might need two!
But only if they don't need to go overseas to the US first, as I live in Denmark (in the EU, just as UK is).
TAX and VAT will come on top of the price if they have round US border, plus ekstra shipping on top..
Best regards. Jakob Jensen - Denmark

Getting towards the end of the year here, I figured this might be a good time to bring this up again. If interested spread the word and start thinking about going through with getting these if there is enough interest.

Does anyone have an extra Gripper or one sitting on the shelf that they'd like to turn back into money?

I have claim to an "unused" gripper and a complete, "used" (disassembled) SR crashbox somewhere...

It's the little box with chillcast case, brand new ring/pinion, and one of brave Sir Luke's steel plate rear covers.

I should probably sell it. It's cost me about $5k total so far... Offers???

Jungletits!!! you know you need it. Ask your gramma to loan you the money to get your GF/Cousin out on bail... then give the cash to me for this wicked pile of 30+ year old trans parts in a dirty old plastic bin.
