My homies at Carlisle picked me up a set of four Bilsteins for the 99 for $80..came with the front reinforcement (so now I have two sets of those) and alignment shims.

Yesterday, a trip to our local junkyard netted a 900 rear axle, panhard, one trailing link (the other was not coming off) for $65.

So..now the question is...now that I do have four Bilsteins for the 99, am I in a rush to put the 900 axle on?

hope you guys like the stickers!

Per

Carlisle was great, 99 turnout was a little thin but we had fun nontheless. I heard about the "reinforceing kit" that they snagged for you. I am trying to figure out exactly what was included, I heard it was several pieces. Pictures?

The stickers were a huge hit, everybody wanted one!

You could roll with the 99 axle for a bit but before you get on the stages you'll want to switch it out. First of all the 900 axle is stronger, second the 99 rear shocks have a pin on the bottom that sticks out and a rock will break off in no time. The 900's have a nice protected eyelet style mount.

yeah stickers are great, thanks Per! i'll have to snap a pic of mine at some point.

and like luke said, some pics/info about the reinforcement kit would be sweet, he was telling me about it this weekend, i'd like to try and rig something up on mine.

Yeah it was fun to meet Paul (Pa-ool) and Jeff. I was really impressed with Jeff's Megasquirted SPG and Paul's Duracel Edition 99... it's good to know a few people on saablink has some taste!

Yeah it was great to meet everyone. Most people over on TSL are not into the old C-900 / 99's, but I think everyone appreciates em. When ever I give the megasquirt demo, it attracts quite a bit of attention ;)

And for the future, don't be strangers over at the TSL camping area. we always have plenty of fun there at night after the show ;)
