fuel pump?

ordered as a kit (with fittings) and free shipping calif. to Chicago 2 days $95... in the trunk I blocked the 3rd line (is this ok?) I didn't bring my fuel pressure gauge home, did you have to adjust fuel press at the reg? she seems to run very good smells a little fat but I think all old cars run rich..not sure if it's a mixture thing (I was told not to fuck with that thing on the computer) ..let me know what you guys think and thank you everyone for all the help very much appreciated

does this look correct to you guys? it does run this way... this is the pump that drew recommended I looked into it but do not remember the pressures or flow off hand... the original pump had: S-D-R (assumed this was suction-discharge-return)Image Image

do I have to adjust the regulator? is it a constant or max pressure listed?

That pump will make like 120 psi if you blocked off the hose going to the engine. If your old pump was flowing too little and the regulator was adjusted up to compensate for it then yes, you'll need to drop the regulated pressure down a little.

Do you have the factory manual that lists the spec for pressure at the rail?

never adjusted and yes i think it's something like 30-35 psi i'll have to look ...thanks for the help guys...i took her to work yesterday and got a chance to cut the coil springs.... 1 bottom coil=1" from there it looks like it's going to get hairy
