Door and window seals?

Postby Adrian Thompson » Tue Jul 23, 2013 11:02 am

Not sure this belongs in Motorport tech, but this is the closest plase to put it.

What do people do for door and window seals? IS there a generic profile on the market that works? On my 3 door 900 the door seals, rear window and hatch seals are all pretty much shot.

I think pretty much all of us just stock up on them at junkyards. Not sure if anyone even carries new ones.

C900's aren't thick on the ground in SE Michigan, any similar after market profiles that can be cut to work?

Window scrapers:
900:

99:

For the side windows, the seals tend to shrink. If you can find another one (probably shrunken) you can cut and splice in a section to take up the length. Or search http://www.restorationspecialties.com/ for a replacement profile.

For the trunk... not sure. Just sent one to the junkyard last week, sorry :-(
