t5.5 vs t5.2

Postby tirediron » Thu Aug 01, 2013 8:19 pm

im sure this is posted somewhere, but I have been unable to find it.
I know the t5 subject has been beaten to death so bear with me.

I was recently posting about tuning lh2.2.4 to raise rev limit. I was NOT going to swap to t5 but I just picked up a '93 9000 turbo parts car which I do believe is t5.2.

same as using t5.5 as far as swap? keep in mind this is a circle track car swap. pretty and driveable are not concerns.

non-turbo use. just a different fuel map correct?

I intend on deleting absolutely everything not crucial to forward motion.

Swap the reluctor wheel behind the crank pulley into your car. the sensor is the same.

5.2 ECMs are unique and only in 93.

You'll need to wire a TPS into the harness since you'll be missing those pins/wires because those cars are all TCS cars.

Maps will need to be adjusted, you'll want to use the 9k injectors, either version red tops will work, just require different tunes.
