Possible turbo

I have been think about this setup for awhile for my b201 turbo... i just need some backing on this, and some more money! Its a 50 trim BB turbo... and a 38 mm wastegate...Need some Feedback!

A cast external wastegate is going to be kind of heavy, but if you want to go that route I have one from an Audi that I'd like get rid of.

Also, That is just the pic I could find, not one of my ghetto installs ;), I believe the wastegate is 30mm.

The Audi ones are pretty stought. I mean big, I mean heavy.

The newer ones are much lighter/smaller and actually flow more. But , of course smaller means more expensive.

I had looked into the Audi ones since they can be found cheaply but they are really big.

I was wondering when that turbo would give up the ghost. Its not natural for a c900 to keep up with a td04 9k all the way to 5th gear redline :shock:

But I fully plan on doing the same thing to the c900 turbo once I get the money.

haha, yeah... you probably could have gotten away if you kept at it, the 9000 should have better top end gearing for sure.

I stuck another (stock) T3 on there about 3 hours after that happened, but the TD04 is going on this week, and then a re-tune.
Less brake more gas!
