Unknown. I'm sure they won't throw away the tooling, but they may need to do another batch of 10-20...which is $$.

Gear # | Cluster Gear Teeth| Pinion Gear Teeth

3 | 24 | 25
4 | 27 | 23

Yeah, that seems to work out to the ratios I've got in the spreadsheet I use to calculate speeds in the graph a few pages back, using an intermediate ratio of 1.17 (pulled from some old info that was on the Speedparts website at one point).

Out or curiosity, what are the widths of the gears? 18mm, 22, 21, and 23mm along the cluster gear shaft?

Is there a reliable source for replacement dog rings etc? Im assuming I won't wear them out very quickly just hill climbing, but it would be good have a source. Also, anyone with experience have any idea how long they should go in terms of mileage or events?

depending on the composition with motorcycles at least a lot of people just weld the dog tooth ends to give them back some meat then people finish them up with a whizzer or angle grinder. I've seen people with care get good results.

doing short High current welds stop the case burning off the gears while still getting penetration. A weld can often be harder than the parent metal too...

I was wondering the other day, if this uses the later c900 cluster gear bearing, where/what on earth are people using seeing as its NLA?

Im currently having the new box worked on but still need a couple parts. Does anyone have a source or part number for the correct cluster shaft needle bearings? And I also need a new lower primary case bearing.

Also, any thoughts on using a needle bearing with a closed outer cage for the cluster shaft? I've found some of that style, but not any completely open cage ones. The measurements I have for them are 28mm x 20mm x 20mm (OD,ID,depth)

No, the early one use 20x26x20, the late 20x28x20 same as the late 5 speed og900.

I think that lower primary case bearing is NLA. I saw online where someone had their case machined out to the next size bearing (OD) so they could use a generic bearing.
