Re: SEAT BRACKETS
Someone will have to confirm, but I'm almost positive both my '73's have the same mounting brackets as my early C900's do. The mounting changed in 1988 to the 9000 style seats, but the early C900 ones should work. (They're the same in my '79 and '85 900's.)

Re: SEAT BRACKETS
the floors do not seem flat enough to mount a "normal" aftermarket seat mount..so on mine at least I have "loops" that the seat mounts would fit into....anyone else have an early 900 that could take a pic or a description of the seat mounting

Re: SEAT BRACKETS
I mounted an old rally seat into my 85 notchback. The rally seat brackets are bolted to the stock Saab seat sliders...thus retaining position and height adjustment

Re: SEAT BRACKETS
i was hoping to get as lucky...the holes in the seat are narrower than the stock mounting so I had to move the tracks to the very edge of the seat...I got the drivers side to "work" but far from ideal

Check out Wedge Engineering:

I had them semi-customize my brackets on the SPG because I'm tall - bought a couple of inches in headroom that way. I want to say they had brackets for the 99 a while back on the website, you might have to contact them direct to ask.

Re: SEAT BRACKETS
Huh. They list '79-'81 and '82+ as different. The '79-'81 should be the same as the 99 since the green EMS seats in my '79 900 are exactly the same bases as the seats in my brother's '73 LE. Definitely worth a call to ask if they have the same part numbers as 99 models when they used to have them listed.

Re: SEAT BRACKETS
Early 900s (I thought it was only '79 and '80 but I've never owned an '81 so I'm not sure) have the same seat mounts as most 99s (I'm not sure if very early 99s had different mounts). The quick release tabs on the driver's seat are a strange idea, maybe that's why they changed it.

Re: SEAT BRACKETS
That's right, that's the difference between the '79 and '80. '82+ has the bolt down sort of paddle brackets that bolt onto the crossbeam.
The '79-'81 ones should work though.
