Since im trying to gain a bit of ground clearance i thought i might consider the front lesjofors coils meant for a convertible. Will those give me a bit more height in the front. Research seems to say that the verts weigh around 350 lbs more so im thinking the springs should be beefier. Is that correct?

my notchback has the moog overloads in the rear with some spacers...but I dont think the spacers do anything....it would sit a few mm lower at most with them out.

Sam, where did you order the rear Moog overload springs from? My new 900S has a very saggy rear end, and that's just not my thing. Need firm, pert rear end!

Rockauto has them listed under suspension for the c900, but amazon has them for a little bit cheaper if you search by the moog part number on rockauto.

I bought them from rockauto but a few places had them including summit and jcwhitney. Now i have to find fronts that don't suck. I want something tall for going quickly in queens' pothole ridden streets.

The stupid sagging rear springs ruins the shocks over time too because they have to work out of their intended range of movement. Ruined some perfectly clean (no rust whatsoever) kyb gas-adjusts that the previous owner put in my spg.

I disagree with that. I had them in the front to, and they were the worst rusted shocks i've ever seen. Yet they were still charged and worked perfectly. I'll have to take a pic for you guys, they are like an artifact.

I had good luck with the Moog Cargo Coils in my 5-door 99. Nice lift, progressive feel.

Does anyone have a photo of how high that brings the back of the car on a 900? Does it make the wheel gap about even with the front and level the car? Higher than level?

I got a hitch mounted rack for my dirt bike so I can camp in the C900 at off highway parks out here, but with the weight of the bike hung that far out the rear suspension is almost on the bumpstops just sitting, and I think putting in SAS spacers alone won't stiffen it up enough to be safe / comfortable on the highway.

Subtract 1/2" from Mongo's 2dr above and maybe another 1/4" for the weight penalty of the 3dr body. Still pretty tall.
The kind of dirty that doesn't wash off :eyebrows:

Jordan - are the suplex springs that eeuro sells any good? I'm considering replacing my front [spg] springs because i think they are tired, although its hard to say if they really need replacing. The convertible springs appear to be really hard to find although lesjofors sell some in europe that claim to meet the convertible spec rate. I'm looking for something tall but with a firm ride.

Suplex are good German springs. OE for most new BMWs. I haven't looked at the suplex for c900 (they actually are fairly new, think the picture is from an old scantech spring) . I can check availability and take some measurements when we get them in if you'd like.

The rear ride height in my 2 door might not drop much at all with the spacers out of the rear. I had to do some work to line the bolt up with the spacers in and I intend to remove them at some point. With the spacers out the bolts just barely line up. The fronts are also Moog springs with 1 coil cut off.
