Not really race related but I ran across this hitch at a U-pull yard the other day. I thought the only OEM hitch available was the square tube type without a removable receiver. The only information I could find on this one is that it an European type because the round receiver was much more common in Europe. I couldn't find the special tool to turn the nut on the right end of it, though it would be easy to fabricate one. The bigger problem is that there isn't a receiver. Part # is 117 193 003 & was made by VBG.

If anything, I could use the sweet wiring connector with an aftermarket hitch.

I had the same style hitch on one of my 9000s. I may still have a couple of receivers and a tool in my garage somewhere.
I'll dig around this weekend.

That's weird! I have the factory hitch with the NON-removable receiver, the one that sticks out from under the bumper for you to smack your shins on when you get groceries.

I have the same hitch on my 900. I'll go snag photos of it shortly... It is a really nice hitch!

Visually, that hitch is identical to the one that I have, and fits the receiver in the first post.

Yes, as Mezzanine said, that's the right receiver.

Fellow forum member ajagodnik was nice enough to send me a receiver & tool for the price of shipping. It's in better condition than the one on eBay. Thank you to him!
