Hi all,Haynes says 8* is correct advance timing but the SAAB shop manual says 13* Not sure....Timing is for my 1973 99LE F.I. Djet..Thx in advance :lol:

I would tend to 13*. 8 seems to be too retarded. You can try 13 and put some load on it and listen for ping. Take your foot out of it if you hear it and now you know 8 is the number. It also might be on the fender how to set the timing and what angle?

Thanks.dwell is 50*.runs much cooler.no pings..Idals around 1200 rpm,I think because my vacum advance is not working...Dizzy needs work... :thumbsup:
