Have you considered a Brantz rally computer? John really like ours and Seth seemed to like it too when he co-drove. They are about the same cost as a terribletrip. Brantz even has a "retrotrip' if you really want to keep it period. By the way, it really does look badass with the lights on it.. starting to look the part!

This was my first rally computer

Circa early 1970s, older than me!
The wiring harness between the car and the computer was sketchy which made it about as reliable as a Terrortrip. My old co-driver put an Alpha Pro in the car. It works well but is kind of large and the readout isn't as easy to read as the Brantz. Its designed more towards TSD.

having used the terrortrip, the brantz, the alpha, and the Halda I would suggest going for the Brantz. It is easy to use and is very easy to read. The Alpha is better then then terrortrip and has more functions then the brantz but is a little overkill for stage rally where all you really need is a master and an incremental odometer. A clock would be nice too. I am not fond of the terrortrips and the Halda was cool but its mechanical, expensive, and I would only suggest it for historic where it may be required.

How did the 4 hellas effect your running voltages? Are you going to keep the stock alternator or bump up to a 900/9000 one?

Duh, of course, I haven't checked that, I'm still relishing how badass they look. I've got a new 99 alternator on the way, as the one on there has a weird wobble (bad enough to crack the bracket) at 3200 rpm.

At the time I got my brantz there were no US distributors so I got my from demontweaks in the UK. The shipping was really fast but expensive. Now you can get them from http://www.checkpoint-racing.com/index.html?lp=products/equipment-2169_2161.html for about the same price as demontweaks shipped.
