Where to find those grey 2 wire radiator connectors?

Postby Sam » Mon Dec 07, 2020 11:23 am

Recently picked up an 88 900S and quite a few things have been cobbled together. One thing thats bugging me is that one of the radiator fans is missing the connector on the harness side. I recently replaced the complete radiator and fan assembly with one I had stockpiled for a rainy day and discovered that the harness side is missing. Just the two large bullet connectors were there, just shoved into the radiator fan half of the connector which will almost certainly blow the fuse again. I say again, because the fan which was there was totally seized.

If i could get my hands on a connector, i could easily pop the bullet connectors into it. Where can i find them?

They are still available through Volvo , I know you can get them from this site https://www.prancingmoose.com/blackvinyl.html. I also have a bunch of used ones.

Love the 4 doors. Suggestion, swapped those headlight with E-codes. Even when new, the DOT were crap...

It has so many gremlins i have to prioritize. So far:

-Replaced all vac lines, new plugs, rotor, wires
-Cleaned iac - this got things running right again
-Replaced both radiator fans and radiator. Old radiator had separated into 2 pieces and warped the rad fans and seized one of the motors.
-Someone broke the alternator bracket but put in a new alternator which doesn't actually charge so thats all apart now.
-Needs a water pump because when i took the alternator out the squeaking noise went away and the noise isn't the alternator.
-Trunk leaks like mad, still trying to find that.
-Front right axle is bad.
-Reverse is shot. Going to attempt the townsend fix this weekend.

I want to get better headlights at some point but i may just convert it to a flat nose to put a modern led system in there.

For less than $500 the rust isn't bad and at least the engine runs pretty well.
