Yep, the ATL that I'm looking at is FIA approved (probably just like yours but steel) and I'll make a panel like you have. No biggie. Probably just go with the one intank pump into an accumulator then onto the stock filter up front.
did you rig the gauge sender into the stock fuel gauge or the ATL 2-1/16 one?
I pulled the tank out this afternoon..it's outside filled with soapy water so I can just throw it in my attic until I figure out what I want to do with it.
Accumulator
I am using one of the fuel cell senders with one thin tube that you cut to whatever length. It works really well although it was a bit $$. I didnt buy the atl or fuel safe gauge, I just got the VDO for the same ohm range for half the money. Have you considered sinking the cell into the floor? Not so much for lower center of gravity but for some more space for tools and spares and stuff. It would mean you would have to create a skid plate for it though... Plus the floor is sorta stuctural back there, I'd think you want to actually weld the can in at that point its probably not worth the hassle. Just sort of thinking out loud here.

I think I'm just going to set it on the floor of the trunk on the right side (passenger) as unlike you, I'm probably going to be heavier than my co-drivers. That, unfortunately, makes it a bit weird for the filler. I've got the angled neck fill plate, but I'm going to have to cut it down to get it below the level of the fitting on the fender.....or just go w/ the trunk fill cap.

I think I'll just wind up doing the fill in the trunk, angled towards the trunk opening.

Looks like you need one of the fillers like Sonett posted earlier. I've seen them installed on lots of escort mkII's but I couldn't find one when I needed it so I made my own. I checked demontweaks and a rallydesign, Sonett where did you get yours?

That seems like a needless complication. Finding a good, big funnel and using the fill cap on the plate will probably wind up being safer..Not sure I really like the idea of a fill tube (certainly not the one that I came up with)
I made brackets for the cell last night..it's nailed down pretty good. Now I just need to finish the Alfa and sell it so the Saab can come into the garage for its massive push towards the cage build.
