Ok, found a home for my little Powermaster AGM (a Honda that can stand the lack of cca in this size) and either going to go with the dry cell or a Deka Intimidator which looks like a great cost/benefit ratio.

A quick review ofthe Deka web site shows that all of the Intimidator series have adequate capacity to crank over a 2L engine with reasonably high compression.

But one advantage of having the battery behind the seats is that installing a cut off switch between the seats is then very easy.

I may have two cutoffs...one near the occupants and one in the FIA-approved lower right windscreen area.

I put mine right up on top of the dashboard...where the little coin-holder-pocket-thingy is.

That is where I put the switch on the ITB 99. But not because the FIA said so but because that is where it fit with the battery in the stock locaton per SCCA IT rules. :)

Outside any where is a dangerous spot around the rally crowd. :) Somebody can walk up and turn it off. Then you panic wondering why the engine won't restart.
