Server issues

Postby Crazyswede » Sun Jul 20, 2008 11:24 am

Is anyone else having trouble getting into the forums lately? Seems like it takes forever to load and often no longer automatically logs me in. Also seems no one is active anymore.

i noticed the log in issue, but loading seemed ok.
I'm sure it'll be 14 days before their tech support can help since they're all about ticket numbers and keeping people on hold.

Same for me last week, both from work and home although it cleared up a few days ago.

:dunno: , the host moved us to a new server, but that was a few weeks ago when we had all those problems. Not sure what the deal is now, other than the new server sucking. Hopefully , it will sort it self out because customer service is non-existent.

We could, if you guys don't mind a bit of downtime.

Well it's not really the downtime.. its the fact that Luke is already paid for the next year or so.

It would seem to me that everything was pretty good with this provider until that recent server swap...since then its been downhill. Does Luke have any sort of contract that he can fall back on? How much did the server cost for the year?

it's doing pretty good right now, though the free server I use for junkyarding.com tends to run quite a bit faster than this one does during high use hours.

The problem seems to be limited to the forums, and not the main page. It must be some sort of sql server lag or something, and not a web server. I've contacted startlogic, but... you know how that shit seems to go...
