Any possibility of a smartphone friendly interface for the forum in the future?

Posting from my Droid can be frustrating.

Well, all of us admins are really super freakin' lazy, so probably not.. unless you wanna do all the research for us and find out if we can implement a plugin for phpBB2, and we'll install it.

Plus it's really hard to do stuff at work, what with teh evil corporate internets we have.

Although I did install a plugin for iPhone hat let's you use a phpbb runner app called TouchBB.

All it would be would be a set of stylesheet changes that are part of a theme. The difficult part would be it would have be tweaked and adjusted so that it would still look like SAABRally.com and not the Hello Kitty forums, which is not something I really want to work on.

Remind me the next time we are all in the same place to show you the interface I get on the Droid. Its not bad when Im at a PC and can tether up with my phone.

The time table of when my regular long posts became short 1 or 2 sentences coincides with the time I got the smartphone. Any time I actually take time to write up a post is because Im in front of a PC.

So that sounds like your problem, not ours

No it would be really cool to have a mobile version that automatically changed the style sheet based on the browser you log in with, but thats way out of my area of expertise.

As smartphones take hold and become the norm, there will be no choice but to have mobile apps for each o.s. I'm not a techie like that though. I fumble my way around old Saab's ... I'm no computer geek.
