How did you find the time to insert all of those tags?

Sam , you should use some sort of flash preloading on your website.... unless the thing is cached it runs like crap.

Jordan, you must have a slow computer or poor connection. The entire flash portion of the site is only 1mb. I do realize that there are still some connections out there that are too slow to download it quickly enough, but they are not the target audience.

Max - to get all those tags inserted was really easy and only took a minute. First i just copied and pasted the filenames from the image directory into a textwrangler document. Then i used find and replace to add the tags and file path on the server to every instance of "crw". I did the same with ".jpg" at the end of the filename. Copied and pasted into the thread and that was it.

I was on a brand new computer and business-class cable connection. It's a bit presumptuous to just say "it's not my target audience" when people aren't on corporate oc12 lines so you don't have to follow best practices.

We have a pretty overloaded t1 connection here that caps out at 1.5m and is split between over 50 people in an internet company. It is slightly sluggish but the playback is acceptable. I can't imagine anyone's connection being much slower in the corporate world.

I find it presumptuous to assume that someone wants to wait through a preloader before looking at a portfolio site.

It's not presumptuous, its why they exist....anyway, it was just a suggestion.

It loads slowly for me but it gives me time to enjoy, I just don't like the clean up time.
