Re: WTF
Hell , I always hated lying on my back under the car doing exhaust work. Maybe he is on to something. It's probably easier to weld the joints from a stepladder.

Re: WTF
if that is a lemons car all is forgiven lemons has a rule concerning questionable exhaust work near fuel tanks, they made sure that they were within the rules by moving the questionable exhaust work as far from the fuel tank as possible

Re: WTF
Just hours into the first day of racing the car began to suffer from fuel starvation issues. Seemed like some if the epoxy used in sealing stuff up began to decay (ethanol?) and clog up the works.
In the end the car was less than competitive as far as total laps go but we managed to sort things out and got her back out there. The thing was a true pleasure to drive, these guys built a regular rocket. I enjoyed many hours of seat time in a car that could pass 99% of the field at will. I think the only rigs I couldn't reel in were a couple of E30 BMW's, one I believe was an early M3.
If anybody here is on the fence about doing a LeMons event........ do it. Those guys know how to have a good time. I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity, it was a real eye opener. This might sound funny but LeMons is revolutionary. Based on my experience in every other type of racing I've seen and done, it ranks at or near the top when you consider the cost, seat time/quality, BS rules, etc, etc, etc.

Re: WTF
sounds fun, plus you can put the friggen exhaust on the roof!
i've always tried to stay away from lemons, and hornets, and anything else, because i don't want to get distracted. it's just like how sometimes i want to finish the electric car project (or start it? ha), put bilsteins on my daily driver, etc.. it would just distract me from the rally car, or take funds away from rallying.
looks like a blast though!
