the older 5 cylinder sprinter engines were selling on ebay for about $3000 a while ago...of course you will need all of the electronics to go with it...and you would likely need to replace the rear axle and transmission. So your $1800 turtle just became a $10,000 Sea Turtle.

Yeah, just throw the timing chain in it, and the thing will probably chug along making 40hp for the rest of time.
