New 9-5 doesn't drive like a Buick

Postby Sam » Sun Jun 20, 2010 3:48 pm

http://www.carsinfo247.com/video-saab-t ... pin-track/

Looks like they've put quite a bit of effort into re-engineering the suspension for saab utilization. The car looks like it handles well, it seems to take the corners without much body roll. I have read that the V6 XWD version of the car weighs in at 4500lbs, while the 4 cyl fwd is a 1000lbs lighter than its predecessor at about 3400. 1100lb difference between trim models is ridiculous.
There is no such thing as too low or too stiff.

Isn't the new Buick supposed to not be so Buick-y? :P

And best of all the new 9-5 Aero is more affordable. Starting price is only $49,000.

$50K = too much for a car. BUT... my '97 9000 Aero was $42,000 new 13+ years ago

I was dissapointed in the fit and finish quality of the new 9-3 Turbo X I saw at the auto show, and can't see why someone would buy it over a comparable car like a Volvo or a Subaru. But I love the way the car looks. The new 9-5 felt much better, and at the price it better be.
