Well it got dark and started spritzing, but here is short video of a test run around the block. I was fiddling some more with the carbs, they still spit occasionally. Video is dark but audio is decent... although it sounds even better in person :) I didn't really get on it too much, but you'll get the idea.

Re: Test Run Clip
It sounds great! It even seems quick from my couch. I watched it a few times just so I could listen to it.
My 9000 quit on me where that video starts. I was rolling into the intersection and it croaked and because that big statue thing is in the road people coming from the left couldn't get around me.

The kind of dirty that doesn't wash off

Re: Test Run Clip
Thanks! I changed the jets (back again) and took it out briefly today. Took it to 7K rpms and it made me feel funny in the pants.
I think I freed up the weights a little as it started advancing past 35º so modd'ed the distributer by bending the stops as mentioned earlier. Seems to max out earlier now which is good, but I haven't fooled with it too much. Idle is ~16 BTDC.

Re: Test Run Clip
You definitely need some shots from the curb, from a tree, on a ladder, of you driving by . You could even do a "Chassis Cam" like Barrett Jackson. You better do a proper photo shoot in a park somewhere as soon as you get a nice day. Im dying to see that thing in the proper sunlight.

Re: Test Run Clip
Made another clip doing a hillclimb test. Not sure the grade of this hill, but it's steep and long. I gave the lifters a good workout in second gear. I was also carrying a trunk load of wheels/tires

I don't get it.
The link works fine. I wasn't trying to hotlink anything (I don't think you even could embed youtube on this BB). SO...
