I glanced at my speedo and was around 80mph. I didn't take turn 8 that well though.

Well, he had a couple DNF's which probably didn't help his times, I know he has been up the hill faster. Although, I also had some issues in the morning, and am still feeling out the car some. Anyway, Im excited to see that there will be some good competition between us, hopefully it is not the last time I manage to beat the 505!

Also, this was Nick driving, not Arlo. Nick is pretty quick, but I don't think he has surpassed the old man yet.

So was I in the wrong class? Everything else in there was 16v or Turbocharged.

What's S5? Seems like I should be where all the Rabbits and Neons live.

My closest competition (both in car and driver) was that VW Scirocco anyways.

How do they run their classes up there, supposing I get up to one of your events, could I still run in SMF?

I found the classification sheet.

http://www.hillclimb.org/rules_regs/hil ... 1class.pdf

Basically it looks like its engine displacement/lb type of class with modifiers. I was thinking I would be SP4 because of 2wd.. but it looks like its because there is just a seperation of 2wd within that power/weight class... I'd probably actually be in SP5 or SP6... I'll have to figure it out. You would too since you weigh more and have less power!

edit: so even if I account for a 30% displacement modifier (stretching it probably closer to +20-25%) I'd be at 2000cc + 30% = 2600cc / 2500 (stock weight) = 1.04...so SP5

You'd probably get SP6 since they give you a -20% for having a cage. There is a worksheet you can fill out too http://www.hillclimb.org/rules_regs/hil ... ksheet.pdf
