Re: a saab graveyard
You should have grabbed that windshield of # 2402...
Re: a saab graveyard
I think that one had a few chips in it and its a 71. One I got was really perfect, the other had a small spider that I had patched.
I'm getting the bumpers off the white car and some interior pieces as that one is due to go to the metal scrappers.
Its a '74 4 door sedan .. that is a pretty rare body....
There was one 71 with a chrome rear bumper .. the front bumper was gone.

Was the windshield seal on the 71 any good?

Re: a saab graveyard
Wow cool pics, thanks for sharing. The first few of the rolled 99 show just how strong these cars were for their time. I remember being a young kid with my dad getting his '84 900 worked on at the local Saab shop and hearing stories about dirt track racing 8-valves 900's, which were always painted like a cow for some reason, and them talking about rolling the cars and the roof not even touching the roll cage afterwards. Looking back it was probably because it was some hillbilly roll cage from the 80's/90's but its impressive nonetheless Its too bad the shop really went downhill by the time I was old enough to drive 900's, I seemed to have miss their glory days.

The gearbox in the green one in the last photo looks so clean it may be rebuilt, although it does have the gear primaries.

I was told that the 900 Turbo still runs and they're asking $700. However, its a bit rough, but its clear title.
There was also an 87 9000 T but I didn't take a picture of it.

Some interior shots to make you cry.
And a nice chrome bumper with the ugly 70s attaché.

I think so, I'm checking on that. Both gaskets were cut on the 74 and 78 to save the windshields.

Re: a saab graveyard
The real early ones usted a thinner lock strip. I tossed mine 10 + years ago when you could still find new ones. Keep me posted. I just need the rubber seal part. I have the insert corners. Snap a pic if possible.

That roof rack is actually an OEM accessory, I've never seen one in real life, but I have an old accessory catalog that shows it. There was that version which was a permanent installation and the removeable version that I have on my '79.
I think it would be really cool on an early 99 16V turbo sleeper, with some wide steelies etc... Throw some vintage luggage up there and no one would see you coming.
Also a rear hitch for a chrome bumpered 99 can't be too easy to find either.
Re: a saab graveyard
Those early lights (blinkers) under the blue saab (L1270709.jpg) are hard to find, if you are going back to scout more parts I'd be interested. And while i'm dreaming, I'd like a pony!
I wish my car had winter mood technology.
