That one looks pretty decent. Did I see it when I was there? I probably didn't look it over if I did. How's the body on the underside? Most of those cars were pretty sketchy underneath. What's the plan with it?
The kind of dirty that doesn't wash off

Geoff, I just picked it up yesterday. It is not from the field in Argyle. I haven't had it on the lift yet. The plan is to get it cleaned up and see what it needs.

AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAH
no I am really not laughing hard or much at all. But inside I recognize the virus has spread. Nice score on the 4 door. Good luck finding parts.

That's great! I really like that early blue color. Does it have the mighty triumph motor?

That one should be clear of the triumph engine. it has the later bumpers and I am just guessing.

ooh, a 4 door. Interesting choice. Does it have any odd features like Power steering or an automatic? Air conditioning?
So what is it? GL GLE E? is it the 1.85 or has someone put a Saab motor in it? D-jet?

72 was first year of impact bumpers and last year of the 1.85... unless someone swapped in a B-motor, which is fairly likely...

Free? 6-1/2 hours of my time, with good company, and 3/4 of a tank of gas, but no money changed hands.
The hood was tied down because there were no bolts holding it to the car. I haven't looked to see what engine is in it, yet. The clutch was in the process of being changed....
I am getting pretty good at assembling the "Rescue Kit"
Shovel
Floor Jack
Lug Nuts
Spare wheels with good (enough) tires
Tow Dolly with straps and a spare tire
Chains
Comalongs
Electric Winch
Liquid Wrench
Never Sieze
Battery powered driver for removing lugnuts
Hammers, Pinch Bar, Wrenches, etc.
