I guess before you "Press On Regardless" you should consider your current tire choice.

Yeah. I wasn't feeling to good on the drive home late last night and I was going quite briskly down the dirt road so i could get home, take a shower, and sleep. Saw something in the road that was not avoidable and ended up hitting it with the right front wheel. The tire flatted instantly but I was in no mood to change it...and as it turned out wouldnt have been able to as i had no wrench in the car So I rolled down the next 1/2 mile of hills and crawled home on a severely thumping tire.

A tire is one thing,... at least it did not come apart so much as to do body damage.

good thing it was on a C900 with solid steel everything. A newer car it would have torn out the plastic fender liner and made a mess. I did inspect it to make sure I wasnt going to tear the brake line off.

This tire de-beaded out on dry lakebed by Barstow on a camping trip. We went out for some late night slippy sliding on the mucky surface (it had rained a few days before and was very slippery where there was still standing water) and drove about 5 miles back to camp on the dirt to get to where I could change it. Fun fun!

It was of course the best tire out of the 4 and it was a nice steel rim too. I might be able to pound the rim straight.

You and I have both blown out a few Hakkas hitting stuff like that. I don't know if we can blame it on Nokian since those are the only snow tires we run, probably any other snow tire would have popped too.

I was pretty surprised I never blew a Blizzak out sliding into curbs and things in Chicago.
I've got a set of new Green Diamond somethings mounted to NG Viking wheels that I will likely never use on my 9-5, and don't have any 16" wheels to put on my 900's for RallyX duty if any of you guys want to gear up for next season. These are the ones with the carbide granules molded into the tread blocks for grip on ice.
They would fit NG900's, 9-3, 9-5, and 9-3SS cars.
