Didn't this 99 used to belong to someone on here?

I was getting some work done to my 9-3 and saw this cool 99 and thought it looked familiar, did someone on here own it a while back or did I make that up?

Yes. I owned tjat one for a while. Bought it for $600 off of Saabnet back aroind 2006 or maybe 2007. Sold it for $1500 a few years later. There are some days i miss it. I did an electric water pump conversion when the water pump gears stripped. It had those shelbies and spg springs with spacers iirc. Otherwise pretty much stock. No rust that i remember.

Cool! I remember seeing it around town several years ago but not since, and was sure I had seen it online somewhere before that.

It seemed in decent shape, a nice patina all over but of course I didn't see it in too much detail.

It was a really solid car when I had it. It was sun baked from years of life on the West coast. The gaskets and seals were all in rough shape and the paint was faded but I really dont remember any rust anywhere above or below. There was a small dent in the rear wheel well that was there when I got the car and I put a dent in the bottom of the passenger rear door when I accidentally backed into something.

I don't have to many photos of the car available...I remember taking some but they elude me now.

The car had a stock B motor with a stock exhaust and a 4 speed. I don't remember if it has the turbo gearbox or nonturbo but it was a chain drive and I don't remember it revving too badly on the interstate so it was likely the taller ratio. The car had the manual rack in it with 4:1 or near that ratio...so it was easier to steer but took a lot of steering input. It was one of those cars that would have been really nice with a clean 16v non turbo and 5 speed conversion. Perfect platform for a really nice car.

Just thought I'd update this a few years later, saw it again and a black 99T (cheating by being at Swedish Motors, the local Saab mechanics). Sadly looks like the paint is deteriorating and some rust coming through, would love to see this car with even a Maaco paint job!

Holy crap, you've got some good detective skills! :-O

It wasn't even registering when I was looking it over but it looks like there is the same faded rear bumper trim and sticker on the rear hatch glass:
