Its too bad that Sam Bryan's NG900 suffered so many problems. It has taken me a little while to get used to the way my NG900 handles but it seems like it would be a decent rally car. that is until you realize how its built. I can see the whole engine/transmission sub frame being an issue and you would need a pretty extensive cage to tame the already flimsy body.

But you can get a 6spd gearset from Quaife for it (I think).

That yellow NG had a 6spd.

I wonder how robust the NG900 turbo engine and transmission would be if you mounted them longitudinally the mid of a 99. Then used what would have been left and right inner drivers...with a few mods...so they become attachment points for front and rear drive shafts. Seems like you could build an awd 99 this way. You would probably have to get creative with how to properly split the power as you would not want 50/50.

and you would need some sort of 1:1 differential at the front and rear, otherwise you would have ultra low gearing. It sounds like a pain in the ass project to me

its mostly me looking at an engine on the floor of Chris Rizzon's shop and thinking...gee that looks convenient.

I suspect you would lose too much power through the drive line or the transmissions would keep popping.
