Advertised as "SAAB 99,90,900 MUD FLAPS REAR" I went for it and won them at about $30.50 including shipping.
If you feel bad that you missed out on them, don't!
What they looked like in the auction:
A bit obscured, but hey they sure look new.
Then I got them. The box does indeed say 99, 90 and 900 on it, but they're obviously for some Saab Scania truck. Here they are compared to my (good) original. My other side is bad.
Fortunately the seller is offering a full refund, but I'd need to pay the money to send them back. Anyone have a truck?

Did you try putting them on? They aren't exactly the same as the this one but they look awfully close to this one in the old accessories catalogue:
And the one I have in person:
The SAAB lettering looks a little different as do the mounting points but it seems to be the same size and I would bet they bolt up just fine.
Edit: guess I missed your post in swedish? Google translate didn't get it at all but you tried out and it didn't seem to work?

Is there a chance that these are meant for a later 99 then? Sorry, but I couldn't see the holes to line them up. To me they seem like they would not work on a 1977 without some modification. I appreciate the photos. The 'language' was more a Stan Boreson joke than anything.

those look like 9000 pieces. they were bigger and plastic vs rubber. maybe 9-3 or 9-5?
99 problems but a SAAB ain't 1

It would be bad ass if they did fit. Hold em up to the wheelwell and snap a pic.

The car is getting bead blasted this week and then will be at the paint shop the following .. but I'll try. I honestly thought they were for a truck... they even look different than the sketch on the box. But you guys are probably right. Maybe if Hans stops by again I can compare with his car.
Re: [humour] Did you see those 'new in box' mudflaps on eBay
Yeah I agree those are for a 9000 or NG900 , the box is for a 99/900 but whats inside must have been swapped out at some point.
I like the early 99/900 style ones with the white "SAAB" better for a street car as they look are a little smaller and thicker rubber, but the typical C900 ones are nice for the rear on rally cars as they do catch more dirt.
smaller mudflaps on my '79 GLi

I noticed those side vents say WagonBack, right? Are those original to the 1979 car?

I looked at my '97 9000 and it looks like the bolt pattern on those mudflaps would fit a 9000.
The kind of dirty that doesn't wash off
Re: [humour] Did you see those 'new in box' mudflaps on eBay
What's the part number on the box?
Re: [humour] Did you see those 'new in box' mudflaps on eBay
Part No is 7874340 on the box and 9268038 on the flaps
Geez, I should have looked for that .. sorry for the thread, but its part of the 9000 'splash guard' setup.

The part number on the box is for 2/4 door 99s. As you've found the contents is 9k.
