Yeah, that was my next question. How did you guys fix that problem? Looking through the old Gripper technical thread I saw mention of tom sending out some bolts. But what ended up being the final solution? I saw pics of some spot machining around each bolt head to recess them.

I spot faced mine. It worked great..
Okay, so I'm female and like SAAB's go figure. Mind you, I like a good set of strappy sandal's just about as much though they don't take you thru the corners as fast. LOL

I spot faced a couple of the units from the original buy, I bored about .080" deep and turned the shoulder of the stock bolts (integrated washer part) a little to fit in the bore.

Thanks Luke, I sent that information to Tom. So, who's still interested? I'd like to do this soon if possible, between a recent shady craigslist deal and tax returns I have enough $, but there are so many other ways I could go about spending it.........if you know what I mean.

You should buy more than 1, you could probably retire soon with your return on investment.

The shipping cost is going to be 175 pounds for all five shipped to me in Fremont NH. So another $55 per unit, so 1068 each.
